Prenzler Outdoor Advertising, Bloomington, Illinois, which managed more than 70 billboards, has been sold to Lamar Advertising Co. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
At this time, only two of the Prenzler boards are digital.
Lamar Advertising will operate the business from its Forsyth, Illinois. In Illinois, it also has billboards in Champaign and Springfield.
This is the second billboard company purchase by Lamar in a month. It bought Marco Outdoor Advertising, New Orleans, Louisiana, in August.
Lamar Advertising has more than 140,000 billboards, 34,000 transit displays and 200 offices in the United States.
