Screenfeed, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has launched its new content production, Sports Central, a localized and intelligent Sports infographics service built specifically to engage audiences of digital signage and especially targeting the local teams’ fan.
Sports Central allows networks to connect with the passion their audience through their love of their favorite sports and teams. Screenfeed management says that It does so by solving the biggest challenge in providing sports information: relevancy.
Screenfeed’s unique FanLogic techology automatically delivers the most relevant sports content at any given time and at any given location. All content is ranked in relevancy based on the location of the media player as well as what is happening in the world of sports at that time.
“I’m a huge Minnesota sports fan myself, but to be honest I’m not that interested in what’s happening with a team in San Diego,” says Jeremy Gavin, CEO of Screenfeed. “Sports Central delivers localized sports content for pro and college teams in my area to solve this problem. In addition, when there is no game going on, I still want to be entertained with sports information – so we built Sports Central to adapt to deliver standings, leaderboards, local sports calendars and even a Team Profile view that expresses the mood of a particular local sports team based on recent performance.”
Sports Central is the first product Screenfeed has released that is available as HTML5 and not in Flash. As pioneers of the Media RSS delivery standard, networks can continue to receive JPEG graphics that automatically update via that method as well.
Screenfeed’s offering currently covers the National Football League, Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, Canadian Football League as well as NCAA Division I Football & Basketball. It also covers the English Premier League and will be quickly adding La Liga, Bundesliga as well as many other sports such as Rugby, Cricket, Golf, Tennis and more in the coming months.
“This is a global product which will offer multi-lingual support and complete coverage of sports of interest world-wide,” says Gavin.
Sports Central features live game scores, post-game results, standings, league leaders, team profiles and local sports calendars. Networks can subscribe now at Screenfeed’s Digital Signage Content Store and have content up and running on their screens in minutes.
