We are still finalising a brief summary / overview of Screen Expo Europe but have got hold of the official attendance figures.

There were: –

• 26 registered PRESS
• 2973 registered attendees

Just over 1,000 other folks registered but did not attend (obviously some work to be done to convert registrations to attendance – but that’s typical of all shows and we understand that Screen Expo’s conversion rate is actually quite high)

These figures do not include exibitors and the (from what we saw = HIGH) cross over traffic from The Retail Business Show which (the stands told us) delivered a lot of quality visitors.

We saw senior execs from Harrods, Woolworths, Marks and Spencers, Zavvi etc etc talking to folks.

As previously mentioned visitors came from 51 different countries and overall 44% were from overseas.

That 44% figure is slightly below what we predicted / expected (we do get it wrong on occasion) but there is no doubt that the show continues to gain overseas interest year on year.
