IMAX Turned Fifty Shades of Grey
Europe’s biggest out-of-home advertising site turned Fifty Shades of Grey ahead of the UK premiere of director Sam Taylor-Johnson’s film adaptation of the erotic British best-seller.
Universal Pictures also ran a full motion out-of-home campaign in Liverpool and Westfield London from Feb. 10, 2015 until Valentine’s Day ahead of the highly anticipated film release.
The show-stopping piece de resistance however had to be the artwork on the IMAX which dominates London’s Waterloo and the cultural Southbank.
Ocean Outdoor reports that, measuring a mighty 1,734m², neuroscientists say the IMAX registers a blockbusting 168 on our emotional index, giving Universal a formidably unique canvas to promote the star assets of one of the year’s raciest releases.
