Xtreme Outdoor Displays, @PeerlessAVEU
Peerless-AV announced this week that its 42″, 47″ and 55″ Xtreme Outdoor Displays for professional applications are now shipping in EMEA and will be available through distribution and reseller partners from the end of April.
Already widely installed throughout North America, Xtreme Outdoor Displays all have CE approval and claim the highest level of environmental protection in the industry. Fully-sealed and without seams, they can operate even when fully immersed in water, are highly impact resistant and offer optimum readability in direct sunlight.
Successful North American projects include the world’s most famous theme park, which has over 120 Xtreme displays at all of the entrance ticket booths; Daytona Speedway has contracted to buy 700 displays this year and next; Washington DC Department of Transportation has over 125 displays installed; Chicago Transit Authority has 25 displays installed for train conductors to be able to see guests entering and exiting the carriages; and Columbus Zoo & Aquarium in Ohio is enhancing the experience for 2.2m visitors annually with 39 displays installed across the park.
The three Xtreme Outdoor Display models – CL-42PLC68-OB, CL-47PLC68-OB and CL-55PLC68-OB – are available in portrait and landscape orientation, and come with a two-year warranty. They offer full HD resolution (1920 X 1080p), 1000:1 contrast ratio and device connectivity to all standard inputs, including three HDMI sockets. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts brightness to best suit conditions and a 178˚ horizontal and vertical viewing angle offers enhanced readability.
The Xtreme Outdoor Displays are available with a range of Peerless-AV accessories, including EWMU Universal Environmental Wall Mount, EPMU Universal Environmental Pedestal Mount and ECMU Universal Environmental Ceiling Mount. All are available with fixed tilt options, have a 91kg load rating and a wind rating of up to 110mph. A Media Player Enclosure (CL-ENCL68-EUK) is a further optional accessory, along with a weatherproof cover with padded interior to shelter the display when not in use.
