Free Video Ads 4 Nepal Aid via #DOOHgood

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

DOOHgood, a program begun back at the time of the Japanese Tsunami through the Preset Group by partners Dave Haynes (Sixteen:Nine and Preset Group) and Jim Nista (Insteo) has launched a series of digital ads, free for use by any digital out-of-home media, asking the public’s help for Red Cross efforts in Nepal.

Three video ads developed by Haynes and another by Freshwater Digital Media Partners of Grand Rapids, Michigan, can be pulled off the DOOHgood site for any DOOH media to use. Haynes says that he hopes that DOOH networks and anyone with DOOH displays will use the ads as PSAs.

“There’s no need to call,” says Haynes. “Just go the website and pull the ads off. Insert them wherever you can in your rotation.”

Since launching DOOHgood, Haynes says that it has offered similar free-to-use aid ads for the Philippines typhoon, a couple of tornados, Hurricane Sandy, and the East Africa famine.

He has no idea of how many companies have used the ads provided in the past nor how much money they have helped to raise for the American Red Cross to help in the disasters. However, if you own or operate digital screens, he’d would appreciate a note letting him know that you did use one of the new videos.
