The EiR position was created as part of the National Bank Initiative in Entrepreneurship and Family Business, established by a donation from the National Bank. The initiative is run by Alexandra Dawson, PhD, associate professor, Department of Management, Concordia University.

The appointment is a two-way street, says Adelstein.. It will involve a commitment in time. It will benefit the students n that they will be mentored and gain insight, while he will draw from the passion and energy of the students.

“I’m looking forward to working with the students,” he says. “They bring a great deal of energy and passion to their work. I hope to help inspire young entrepreneurs at Concordia and I also expect to draw a lot of inspiration from them

“As a Concordia alumnus, I’m honored to have been named EiR at the JMSB,” says Adelstein. “And I’m proud to be giving back.”

Adelstein earned a BA in International Relations from Clark University in 1991, a Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration from Concordia University in 1992 and a JD in Law from Brooklyn Law School in 1996.
