New @NEC_Display_EU Division Strengthens Strategic Sales
Internally, NEC Display Solutions Europe has appointed Simon Jackson to lead a newly created Strategic and Global Sales Division, reinforcing NEC’s global sales infrastructure and focus on customer solutions.
Eagle eyed readers – or should we say viewers? Ed would have noted this was discussed in our NEC Showcase 2015 Simon Jackson TV Interview here. This new division no doubt reflects NEC’s role as a major force in high value and complex display projects, and will enable it to better meet the needs of its global customers.
Simon Jackson becomes Senior Director, Strategic and Global Sales Division and his department will create a centre of excellence to reinforce NEC’s global proposition and expertise in delivering strategic customer projects, showcasing NEC’s scale and ability to holistically support global or cross-market customers.
It is also hoped that it will encourage innovation and technology leadership in delivering solutions and applications tailored to customer needs – as part of this innovation, we are told that it will capitalise on the company’s ecosystem of technology and sales partners, support capabilities and in-depth industry expertise. By building specific packages for vertical industry sectors such as aviation, retail signage, quick service restaurants, leisure and museums and education, NEC hopes to create a better experience for the audience in each sector.
Bernd Eberhardt, President and CEO of NEC Display Solutions Europe told us “Simon has demonstrated excellent leadership and expertise in implementing NEC’s vertical sales approach and we are looking forward to bringing that dedication and leadership to this newly created global sales division. NEC’s future is focused on more solution-led sales services, and Simon will be instrumental in ensuring NEC does this effectively on a global scale.”
Simon has been with NEC since 1998, most recently heading the UK and Benelux markets where he oversaw Strategic Sales, Marketing and Operations for NEC Display Solutions. He also led teams focused on digital cinema, healthcare and Digital Out of Home, developing solution sales for key NEC vertical markets.
Simon will be based in NEC’s European Headquarters in Munich, Germany.
