Clear Channel Canada Expands Transit Ad Network To Edmonton
Gail Chiasson, North American Editor
Clear Channel Canada, Toronto, has been awarded the Bus Shelter Advertising concession for the Edmonton market, effective January 1, 2016 and will open an office in that city to support this new venture in fall, 2015.
Edmonton is the sixth largest market in Canada with a growth of 14% over past five years. As one Canada’s fastest growing cities, advertisers are seeking new ways to connect with this rapidly expanding market.
Since the average Canadian commutes 65 minutes daily, street furniture is a way that connects advertisers to valuable on-the-go audiences in some of the busiest areas across Canada. In Edmonton, 76.1% commuters drive to work and 16.4% take public transit, making bus shelters in Edmonton a prized addition to the Clear Channel Canada street furniture portfolio. Bus shelters have a high impact and frequency allowing advertisers to reach consumers at multiple touch points throughout their daily lives.
CCC currently also offers a Street Furniture advertising portfolio in the Ottawa market.
