The Digital Place-Based Advertising Association, New York, announced today that America’s Community Network, America’s local community-based video network, has joined the organization.
Van Nuys, California-based ACN launched July 13 in McDonald’s locations in Southern California, from Ventura County down through Los Angeles and Orange, to Riverside and San Bernardino.
“ACN is taking a tremendously innovative approach to the digital place-based medium with the creation of a community network to engage McDonald’s patrons with compelling video,” says Barry Frey, president & CEO, DPAA. “This is the latest example of how digital place based networks enhance an environment by providing interesting content to consumers in places where they dwell.”
Dean Waters, CEO, ACN, said, “We look forward to working closely with Barry and his team at DPAA, as well as other digital place-based networks, as part of our immersion into this exciting and fast growing media sector.”
With stories stretching from Ventura County down through Los Angeles and Orange, over to Riverside and San Bernardino, America’s Community Network celebrates the personalities and culture that make these neighborhoods and cities vibrant and diverse. ACN tells the stories traditional media doesn’t tell: from creative artists and leaders beautifying their towns and moms starting businesses to local heroes and community groups working to make a difference. ACN also profiles rising stars in the action sports world, highlights cool car culture, provides access to the latest fashion and style, and gives the 411 on local happenings.
