Adspace Mall Networks, New York-based digital place-based network with over 3,600 screens (*Nielsen) in major malls across the US, has hired five new national sales executives to bolster its efforts in the in-mall video space.

adspace_logoNew hires include Jamie Rush and Doug O’Day in New York, Bobby Aguilera in Chicago, Greg Duval in Dallas and Kevin Dakis in San Francisco.

Rush and Duval come from IZ•ON Media (which under STRATACACHE has reverted to the PRN brand) and Aguilera was recently with Captivate. O’Day comes with mall experience from EYE Corp and Dakis joins from the west coast office of iHeart Media. These sales professionals join an already seasoned sales team, now comprised of 15 full time representatives.

“Adspace has been fortunate to find such talented personnel with vast experience at the client, planning and buying levels,” says Eric Steinert, executive vice-president and chief revenue officer. “As our property count has grown to over 300 of America’s top malls, it is the perfect time to expand our sales team and further educate the media buying community about the myriad benefits of in-mall video advertising.”

With the January 1, 2015, additions of a 140 mall food court network and a network of 60+ large format LED screens, the Adspace footprint now sees over 68 million unique visitors every four weeks, according to Nielsen. This massive scale delivers the elusive teen and millennial audiences at scale, contributing to what’s already been a record sales year, with the high demand holiday shopping period still ahead.

“Adspace’s revenues were up 42% in the first half of 2015, and have already surpassed last year’s full year revenue total by 33%,” says Peter Krieger, president and COO. “We expect that number to continue to grow as we head into the busy holiday season.

Further, “In our efforts to bolster our management team, several long serving associates have been promoted into senior management positions, and we now have the right structure in place to accelerate our strong growth model. Jonny Hamilton has been promoted to senior vice-president, creative director; Amanda Sheplee is now vice-president, development and strategic partnerships; and Ye-Ling Chen is vice-president, finance.

“Our mall developer partners continue to invest in their properties, making today’s Class A malls a thriving and vibrant environment. We are very pleased with our dominant position in the mall space and expect continued growth in the future.”
