The DailyDOOH Investor Conference has been running for 10 years and I’ve attended the last six or seven, with each one easily the best conference I’ve attended throughout the year, and each one better than the last.
This year was no exception. Held at Denton’s law firm offices during New York Digital Signage Week, it started off with co-chairs Steve Nesbit, managing director of Prestonwood Trail Holdings LLC, Dallas, and Adrian Cotterill, editor-in-chief, DailyDOOH, giving a runthrough of 20 of the 45 mergers, acquisitions and major financial dealings that have taken place in the digital out-of-home and digital signage sector since the last Investor Conference.
From then on, it was speaker after speaker with solid information, absorbed by an audience mix of C-level executives, investors and startups.
Was there one outstanding speaker? It’s hard to choose, but for me, it would likely be a tossup between Ocean Group’s CEO Tim Bleakley who included four announcements in his newsy and well illustrated talk, and Show+Tell’s president Phil Lenger, always entertaining as he discussed content. But to choose two isn’t really fair when they were all excellent.
I’ll be writing about several of them over the next few days.
And plan to be there at next year’s conference, which will be held during New York Digital Signage Week, Oct. 24-to-28, 2016.
