Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino Sportsbook

As our team attending #CES2016 saw for themselves a few weeks back, Westgate Resorts teamed with RP Visual Solutions (RPV) and Christie to build one of the world’s largest LED Video walls, inside the Westgate Superbook at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
Working with HB Communications of North Haven, Connecticut, RPV of Anaheim, California, and Christie created an enormous curved array measuring 20’ tall and 220’ wide and comprising 1,640 2.5mm Christie Velvet LED tiles boasting over 65 million pixels. This enormous video wall, covering a total 4,400 sq. ft., spans the length of the world’s largest sports book, creating a stadium-like experience unlike any other where every seat in the newly renovated Westgate Superbook is a ‘front-row’ experience.
The video wall has coined a new term/category: ‘SuperBook’, and ‘Sports SuperBook’ is now a registered trademark.
RPV is renowned for creating architecturally integrated mounting solutions that are often large, curved, tilted, and/or complex, and its newest project at the Westgate Las Vegas scores another touchdown. Along with the construction of this screen, the Westgate Superbook was completely transformed to create a stadium-like experience, including over 300 relaxation lounger chairs and a 100’ long curved bar that conforms to the shape of the screen.
Mark Waltrip, Westgate COO, says that the video wall is a game-changer for the property and a game-changer for the industry.

After designing came the task of how to install and deploy this configuration on-site. Partnering with HB and Christie to design this project is a huge honor. We knew that we had to exceed their expectations as well as Westgate’s to make this one-of-a kind fan experience a huge success.”
