Media advertising owner and manufacturer of digital rooftop taxi advertising, Metropolis has announced a strategic alliance with C & S Taxis London and at the same time, rebranded itself as Metropolis Digital Outdoor which it believes, more accurately positions the business in the market.
Danny Faughnan, CEO of Metropolis, told us “C & S Taxis was the obvious choice for us. John has 42 years’ experience in the licensed taxi trade and he continues to invest in brand new taxis for his fleet – which he expects to grow from 450 to 500 vehicles this year. C & S is also an advocate of relevant new technology in support of the licensed taxi trade.”
Metropolis’s TXi-Media Pods are now on more than 100 black cabs and it is claimed that this deal gives Metropolis exclusive access to one of the biggest, strategically best-placed and most forward-thinking black cab taxi fleets in London.
John Sofroniou, CEO of C & S Taxis London said, he chose Metropolis for its technical innovation and media expertise (we are told that C & S will not partner with any other digital screen provider).
Danny Faughnan, commenting on the re-brand said “We feel that the new branding very simply expresses to people what Metropolis is all about, at a pivotal time as we pass through the 100 taxi – 200 screens deployment milestone in the capital.”
