Partners Gary Grossman and Justin Rinko, both formerly in senior sales positions at Van Wagner Outdoor and OUTFRONT Media, have set out on their own, launching Silvercast, a new billboard company in New York.
The partners, who have hopes of expanding as a new network across the US, are launching Silvercast with 11 static boards in the Madison Square Garden area and one digital board, the 30,000 sq. ft. Spectacular on the Mariott Marquis at 1535 Broadway, all real estate properties of Vernado Realty Trust.
Silvercast takes on the boards as of May 1/16. The static boards had previously been operated by Outfront; the digital board by Clear Channel.
“We plan to grown organically and expand by both acquisitions and by building our own boards where possible,” says Grossman.
Silvercast is privately owned by Grossman and Rinko, who met as account executives at Van Wagner where they became equity partners. Grossman says that they are currently doing the rounds to make ad agencies aware of the new company and its offerings.
