Toronto-based Cieslok Media has signed on as the exclusive sales representative for Leading Outdoor’s concaved digital display inventory, giving Cieslok entry into Canada’s Calgary market.
The agreement covering Leading Outdoor’s two digital screens solidifies Cieslok Media’s presence in major key markets across Canada. Calgary, Alberta, is considered one of the top five most liveable cities in the world, according to The Economist’s annual global livability ranking. The fifth largest city in Canada, Calgary is the second wealthiest city with an average household net worth of $835,823.
Cislok’s expansion in Alberta comes just one year after the acquisition of AdQ Media in Edmonton.
“Entering this market was a strategic expansion to strengthen our national presence in Canada and allow brands to reach a highly desirable consumer in this market,” says Jörg Cieslok, president and CEO of Cieslok Media.
In discussing the agreement, Vance Macdonald, president of Leading Outdoor, says, “Cieslok Media is a proven leader in the Canadian Digital Out-of-Home market and its focus in achieving outcomes and exceeding clients’ expectations aligns with Leading Outdoor’s commitment to its advertisers.”
The only concaved digital displays in all of Calgary, Leading Outdoor’s 12’ x 24’ screens are located in major throughways leading into downtown Calgary. The structure located on Macleod Trail reaches commuters traveling towards popular destinations such as the Southcentre Mall, Chinook Centre, Scotiabank Saddledome (home of NHL’s Calgary Flames), the famous Calgary Stampede grounds, and downtown Calgary. The Macleod Trail is adjacent to some of Alberta’s most affluent communities, including: Mayfair, Britannia, Bel-Aire, Rideau Park and Roxboro.
The second concaved display, located on Barlow Trail captures the attention of commuters driving from the Calgary International Airport, as well as consumers on route to the Trans Canada Highway and the downtown Calgary core.
Both boards are supported by the latest digital technology. Advertisers will be able to deliver relevant and engaging content through social media integration, real-time triggered events, day parting, live photo uploads, and advanced multimedia technology. The stunning, rich colour, high-contrast screens are capable of displaying up to ten 6-second ad units in a 60-second loop.
