Austin City Hall @TransitScreen Deployment
Austin, Texas, leaders gathered in the City Hall atrium recently to unveil two new TransitScreen displays.
Mayor Steve Adler, City Manager Marc Ott and TransitScreen co-founder Ryan Croft demonstrated the display and explained how it fits into Austin’s transportation future.
Also in attendance were the city’s chief sustainability officer and the Austin Transportation Department director.
“TransitScreens are a great way to use technology to make mobility more accessible to everyone so they have easy alternatives to being stuck in their cars during rush hour,” said Mayor Adler. “It’s innovations like this that will make the ‘Year of Mobility’ a real thing in people’s lives, and I encourage other downtown employers to use TransitScreens as well.”
We ‘re told that Austin is hoping to use its new City Hall TransitScreens as a model for other building owners and employers to adopt the technology.
