Clear Channel UK has announced plans to expand their national Adshel Live network to 1,000 screens. The Out of Home media owner, which currently operates 600 Adshel Live units, a network of state-of-the-art digital 6-sheets in 28 of the UK’s largest cities, will install a further 400 screens in key towns and cities nationwide.

The new screens will enhance Clear Channel’s presence in areas where Adshel Live has already launched and will bring the network to additional towns and cities where there is currently no digital 6-sheet advertising. The expansion will further strengthen Adshel Live’s nationally distributed network with locations selected to target areas of high population density on busy high streets and key shopping destinations.

Justin Cochrane, CEO of Clear Channel UK told us “Our vision is to Create the Future of Media, Out of Home. Providing advertisers with a nationwide digital roadside opportunity is an important part of this. Installing 600 screens right across the country in little over 6 months is an incredible achievement and a testament to the knowledge and expertise of the Clear Channel team and our partners.”

“Adshel Live has been a huge success with advertisers and we are delighted to be investing in adding a further 400 screens to the UK’s only truly national roadside digital Out of Home network.”

Clear Channel’s Adshel Live screens are manufactured by Amscreen at their factory in Bolton.

Simon Sugar, CEO of Amscreen told us “We’re delighted to be partnering with Clear Channel UK to further expand their Adshel Live network across the UK, creating a unique digital roadside proposition for advertisers. The expansion will see us continue to manufacture and assemble Adshel Live screens right here in the UK. We’re proud to be creating jobs and investing in the north of England.”

The extended Adshel Live network, which will include bus shelters and free standing units (FSUs), will generate 1.7 million impressions per day. The beacon-enabled network will be underpinned by Play iQ, Clear Channel’s web-based content and inventory management system.
