Clear Channel’s super premium digital brand, Storm, has unveiled their latest sites in Greater Manchester, Storm Mancunian Tower and Storm Trinity Way. These sites are the 28th and 29th to join Storm’s nationwide portfolio and follow the launch of Storm Mancunian Junction earlier this year, creating a trio of landmark sites in the city.
Storm Manchurian Tower (shown above), situated on the A57 in southeast Manchester, targets heavy traffic flow in both directions on one of the main arterial routes in and out of the city. The site, which overlooks an elevated road at the junction where the A6 joins the A57, benefits from high dwell times in an area of regular congestion and reaches a valuable commuter audience.
The site has been recently converted into a state-of-the-art digital screen and features a striking asymmetrical tower design, as well as bespoke customisable lighting capabilities and Storm’s signature digital name plates – allowing for total creative ownership by advertisers.
Storm Trinity Way (shown below), the first Storm site in Salford, is located in close proximity to museums and universities, as well as the famous Old Trafford football ground. The site, a state-of-the-art portrait screen, also features a unique geometric design, bespoke lighting opportunities and a customisable nameplate.
Both launches incorporate sophisticated screen technologies with the stunning architectural design associated with Storm sites, and create evenly distributed digital Out of Home opportunities in one of the UK’s key cities. Storm’s portfolio in Greater Manchester targets a young and vibrant audience, who enjoy spending their money on innovative technology and new clothes, and their time at the gym and socialising in the city.
Aimee McKay, Managing Director at Storm, told us “Manchester is a key city for Storm and I’m hugely proud to be launching two new sites; Storm Mancunian Tower and Storm Trinity Way. All of our sites are beautifully designed, and our locations carefully selected, in order to deliver incredible impact; allowing advertisers to achieve Fame on Demand on some of the best digital Out of Home opportunities anywhere in the world.”
The introduction of new sites in Greater Manchester follows Storm’s ongoing nationwide expansion, which includes sites in Birmingham, Liverpool and Leeds; and will see a Storm presence in 10 of the UK’s biggest cities by the end of 2016. This forms part of Clear Channel’s wider digital transformation project, including the continued expansion of their Adshel Live network which was announced last week. The entire digital network is underpinned by Play iQ, Clear Channel’s intelligent content and inventory management system.
