#TeaseLondon Winner is (Not) Boris Johnson

Back in May during London Digital Signage Week, Eyetease, the company famed for bringing digital advertising technology to the roofs of London taxis celebrated the launch of their new video, by announcing a competition to win GBP 160,000 worth of free advertising on over 400 taxitop screens in London, in partnership with Verifone Media.

Whilst we think the #TeaseLondon winner should have been Boris Johnson it turns out it is actually ‘Love the Sales’, a website that aggregates +500,000 sale items into one website for consumers.

The competition, which had a prize of £160,000 of taxitop advertising, saw 100’s of entries from a wide variety of businesses. After whittling these down to a six-strong shortlist, judges interviewed the finalists and deliberated their decision in advance of the event.

Richard Corbett, Founder and CEO of Eyetease told us “As an entrepreneur who understands how difficult it can be to launch a new product into a competitive marketplace, #TeaseLondon was a great opportunity for us to see how we can help the next generation of startups! LoveTheSales.com are solving a real world problem and we couldn’t resist their story.”

The prize offers www.lovethesales.com 16 million impressions across Verifone Media’s taxi network, meaning they’ll be able to target a large cross section of London with geographical and time based targeted adverts.

Stuart McClure, co-Founder of www.lovethesales.com said “To win the competition is amazing – a real honour to have been chosen. We are really excited by this prize and we can’t wait to start trying out some of the ideas we have with the technology Eyetease offer.”

www.lovethesales.com has recently broken the 500,000 product mark, and is set to increase further still, as new retailers are being added on a weekly basis. This, combined with other recent successes including a place in the Start Ups 100 and selection for the Blick Rothenberg Tech Awards, means the team at www.lovethesales.com are helping more and more people every day.
