Matthew Dearden, who was only recently appointed FEPE President, has left his role as President of Clear Channel International.

Clear Channel International announced Monday that it is making changes to its senior leadership team as part of an organisational review. Matthew Dearden, President of Europe, and Patrick Ugeux, Chief Transformation Officer, are both leaving the business.

The press release stated that these changes reflect Clear Channel International’s ongoing drive towards greater operational efficiency across its international business portfolio and creating a more agile organisation to support its technology-led digital expansion strategy.

Commenting on the announcement, William Eccleshare, Chairman & CEO, Clear Channel International, told us “Out-of-home is transitioning into a truly digital medium thanks to the creative and engagement opportunities made possible by new technologies. To help us realise these opportunities at speed and scale I will be working more closely with our Business Units. CCI is building an agile advertising culture, allowing us to be able to quickly respond to the changing needs of our customers, and deliver creative, smart and effective audience-based solutions.”

He added: “I would like to add my personal thanks to both Matthew and Patrick for their huge contributions to the business, and wish them all the very best for the future.”

Matthew Dearden joined Clear Channel in 2010, leading the transformation of the UK business as its CEO, before moving into a European role in 2014. Patrick Ugeux has worked with Clear Channel since 2012, firstly for the US outdoor business and then Europe in 2014.
