Talon, the independent Out of Home specialist agency, has created the new role of Chief Transformation Officer to reflect the changing emphasis of the business and the importance of data, technology and automation and Josko Grljevic moves from his Chief Technology Officer position at Exterion Media to oversee Talon’s extensive development in this space and will drive technology-led change at the agency, now into its sixth year of operation.

Talon is designing, testing and developing proprietary technology platforms to deliver on dynamic buying and real world moments, including an Automation Platform for OOH (Plat>O) and an Out-of-Home Data Management Platform (ODMP), using partners including data experts Black Swan, and in collaboration with OOH media owners and its media agency partners.

Prior to Exterion, Josko held a number of senior technology and leadership roles at Barclays, Barclaycard, Trainline.com, Tesco.com, Microsoft and Woolworths Australia, implementing technology transformation across multiple industry verticals.

Frank Bryant, Managing Director at Talon, told us “Digitisation and technology is having a transformational impact on the Out of Home advertising business globally. We believe that automation technologies will continue to transform how we transact OOH media, creating workflow efficiencies for our business and the OOH sector. We are absolutely delighted to have hired someone of Josko’s capability to fulfil this role. This is very much a global position to help us to continue to develop our technology to future proof our business, as we launch some ground-breaking products.”

Josko Grljevic said “I am genuinely excited to be part of an organisation that understands technology’s pivotal role in shaping and transforming the OOH industry. Talon has done a fantastic job in developing Plat>O and other technologies and I’m looking forward to building on these solid foundations in the newly-created CTO role.”

Grljevic joins Talon on July 2nd.
