DPAA, the leading global organization for everything digital out-of-home announced today that it will hold a special promotion at its Video Everywhere Canada Summit, in conjunction with sponsoring company Media City, that will send an ad agency media professional to the June 2020 Cannes Lions Young Media Academy held at the Cannes Lions in France.

The Young Media Academy is open to media professionals 30 years of age or under. Delegates to DPAA’s Video Everywhere Summit Canada who meet this criteria will be invited to enter the random drawing at the Summit.

The winner will be announced immediately following the day’s sessions. In addition to the seat at the Young Media Academy, the winner’s accommodations and travel will be included. DPAA has held similar promotions at its events during New York Digital Signage Week.

Barry Frey, DPAA President & CEO told us “We are thrilled to be teaming up with Media City to send a young media professional to the prestigious Young Lions Media Academy. For the winner, this will be an incredibly valuable, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

The Young Lions Media Academy is open to a limited number of participants per year. It is an intensive five days of learning that provides a deeper understanding of the media landscape, and how this understanding will drive media solutions to greatly increase advertisers’ connections with their audiences. Held during Cannes Lions, the course equips participants to deliver better results on behalf of clients, taking the creative idea and working every media angle to amplify it in the marketplace and maximize results. The curriculum focuses on the key changes taking place in the media landscape, driven by rapidly evolving consumer behavior, in particular the impact of new technologies and the balance between exposure and engagement.

DPAA’s Video Everywhere Canada Summit will once again be held at Cineplex’s spectacular venue- The Rec Room. This state-of-the-art entertainment and conference facility will host an agenda covering important issues and developments in the video everywhere ecosystem, including programmatic, multi-screen engagement, mobile/location data, the latest in DOOH advertising and case studies illustrating out-of-home’s impact on consumer behavior.

The event is targeted to executives representing brands, agencies, the OOH industry, ad tech, mobile/location companies, data firms and others from the full spectrum of multi-screen advertising.

Stuart Garvie, CEO of GroupM Canada, will headline an all-star lineup of agency and brand executives. Additional speakers include: Ash Molaei, Sr. Brand Manager, Mobile Communications, LG; Kate Piccolino, Director of Sales & Marketing, Ritz Carlton Montreal, Michael Ingemann, Managing Director, Cadreon Canada and Debbie Drutz, President, Novus.

Last year’s Video Everywhere Canada Summit attracted 320 attendees, a number expected to be surpassed at this year’s event.
