Being on the #CES2020 press distribution list you get to see an awful lot of consumer announcements that are about as useful or as necessary as a chocolate teapot but this smart fingerprint padlock looks like it could actually be quite useful.
The Tapplock lite uses a state-of-the-art fingerprint sensor on the front to open, allowing users to access their items in under a second and finally rid themselves of keys and combinations for good. The lock can store up to 100 fingerprints and the battery life can last up to eight months, or 1,200 unlock, off of one charge.
Users can also utilise the Tapplock app to manage other users, track the access history of the lock and grant mobile access to others via a Bluetooth feature.
They will be at #CES2020 in the Sands (Halls A-D) booth #42949.
