Michelle Harmon-Madsen Joins @Accuweather

Global weather and digital media leader AccuWeather has announced that Michelle Harmon-Madsen has joined them as Chief Marketing Officer. She will report to Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Joel N. Myers, effective immediately.

Michelle Harmon-Madsen will be responsible for implementing a cohesive strategic marketing vision and execution plan to drive stronger brand awareness, reach, relevance, impact and analytics to achieve AccuWeather’s objectives of growth and visibility globally. She will oversee all functions related to advertising, promotional campaigns, websites, branding strategies, marketing of new products and services, public relations, social media and CRM programs working with the executive leadership team.

She will be based in AccuWeather’s office at 7 World Trade Center in New York City’s Financial District.

Her most recent role was President for ShopperX Lab, an innovative retail transformation consultancy partnering with teams and c-suite executives to unlock opportunities in the consumer journey and drive innovation with shared learnings, insights and technology. Prior to that she was Senior Vice President, Brand Partnerships for FreshDirect, the Northeast’s leading fresh food grocer. She has also worked at MediaVest with Microsoft and Procter & Gamble and oversaw branded entertainment 19 Entertainment’s American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.
