You would have thought that the ‘haptics’ companies in our industry would be putting afterburners on their businesses at the moment, and be working with all the display and street furniture manufacturers to include ‘touch less’ capabilities on anything that needs to be touched, in order for it to work.
However word reaches us that Ultraleap (formerly Ultrahaptics) who only raised USD 45 Million back in December 2018 have let go up to 20 staff across the globe.
We believe that most of the layoffs have happened outside the UK. In our opinion it is a silly shortsighted move.
