Adweek announced this week the winners for their 2020 Experiential Awards and Comedy Central, OUTFRONT Media, and Posterscope received an award for ‘Use of Celebrity/Use of Out-of-Home Media Activation by a Media Brand’ for the Awkwafina 7 Train Takeover campaign that took place back in January 2020.
In January, Golden Globe-winner and Queens native Awkwafina, the star of the upcoming Comedy Central series ‘Awkwafina is Nora From Queens’ was heard announcing each station arrival, along with other various prompts, running across all 22 stops from Flushing-Main Street (Queens) to 34 St-Hudson Yards (Manhattan).
