Ultravision International announced this week that NEC Corporation, NEC Display Solutions of America, Inc., NEC Display Solutions, Ltd., NEC Display Solutions Europe GmbH, and S[quadrat] GmbH have had to enter into a license agreement related to Ultravision’s LED Display patents.
Under this license agreement, NEC will obtain a worldwide license to Ultravision’s innovative LED Display technology. The terms of the agreement are confidential but we understand that the agreement is consistent with Ultravision’s established licensing program.
William Hall, CEO and co-founder of Ultravision International told us “Ultravision is pleased to enter into a global patent license agreement with NEC. This agreement reaffirms the value of Ultravision’s world-class patent portfolio.”
Ultravision designed and patented numerous inventions related to Modular LED Digital Displays, which have fundamentally changed the LED Display industry by eliminating the need for cabinet displays. Ultravision has 34 patents related to Modular LED Display technology. Modular LED Digital Displays lower the cost of installation and operation for LED Digital Displays. The unique design of these Modular LED Digital Displays has played an important role in the market growth for indoor and outdoor LED video walls.
