You will know by now I am sure that the DPAA, the leading global trade marketing association connecting out-of-home media with the advertising community while moving OOH to digital, is holding its annual global #VideoEverywhereSummit as a livestream production over three days this week; from Tuesday October 13, 2020 to Thursday October 15, 2020.
Barry Frey and his team should be applauded for thinking carefully about this over the last six months. They have made the very sensible decision not to simply take their normal full day conference and replicate it virtually online like so many other trade associations, event and conference organisers.
As I have said elsewhere, and will continue to say “No-one wants to sit at their desk / in-front of a computer screen ALL DAY to attend a virtual all-day event and you are kidding yourself if you think they are and you’re kidding yourself if you believe that they actually do”. This simple swapping of physical to virtual is just lazy thinking.
The #VideoEverywhereSummit will run 11am – 2:30pm ET each day, over three days. A much better way to impart huge amounts of information from a variety of speakers and to better guarantee an audience.
Registration can be found here.
It’s obviously a real shame that this event could not be held in person but I am sure that there will be a good turn out this coming week. One slight upside is that the event is now truly global, with it all being online, DPAA members from around the world can attend.
DPAA has members in EMEA, North America, South America, Asia and Australia.
Remember also that you can contribute to the event via twitter using the hashtag #VideoEverywhereSummit.
