Neil Eddleston & Xavier Dupre Both Leave @JCDecaux_UK

Is something up at JCDecaux? First, they lose all of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey contracts, after 30 years and now we note that the two key people behind JCDecaux OneWorld, namely Neil Eddleston Managing Director and Xavier Dupre, the main sales man in the operation both left the company last week.

Both are highly competent, most definitely up there with the very best operators in any company. It is possible that they might just have both decided to retire in the same week but that is unlikely. According to UK Companies House, both individuals stepped down as directors of JCDecaux UK Ltd. (TMO1 ef) 2/11/20.

JCDecaux OneWorld was their global client facing operation that delivered solutions to multi-national advertisers transcending national or geographic borders but now seems to have been disbanded.

You will now find no mention of ‘OneWorld’ as an advertiser solutions channel on either JCDecaux’s global or UK websites. JCDecaux have obviously not wasted a pandemic by not reassessing their business approach, I would assume that the OneWorld division has been disbanded or rebranded and absorbed into country operations. If this is the case then it is also, of course, a way to reduce cost from the top down.
