On Wednesday December 9, 2020, Keith “Kappy” Kaplan will officially be announced as the new Global CEO at Kinetic, as usual of course, we can tell you all in advance.
Most of our readers will be surprised that Kinetic recruited from outside the WPP group for such a notionally high profile role but then again, I am sure that the vast majority of our readers fully expect Kinetic to be rolled into WPP plc’s GroupM’s centralised media buying function sooner rather than later.
Reading through Kappy’s resume (here on LinkedIN) apart from some work with OUTFRONT Media, his curriculum vitae lists a series of odd tech ventures.
It is likely that he has been pulled in by GroupM’s Global CEO Christian Juhl as a likeminded ally.
He replaces Marc-Antoine De Roys who is retiring.
