JCDecaux UK has expanded its digital street furniture presence into three new cities, namely Leeds, Newcastle and Northampton. Placed in the heart of each city centre, the installations will combine the latest in digital advertising technology with free public services, including an automated external defibrillator that can be used by the public to save lives.
Advertisers and the public will benefit from the autumn roll-out of 10 digital phone kiosks with defibrillators into Leeds, nine in Newcastle and six in Northampton.
The phone kiosks carry an 86″, high-definition digital 6-sheet advertising display, enabling national advertisers and local businesses to keep the public up-to-date with relevant and timely brand messaging.
The new screens form part of a newly expanded national digital 6-sheet street furniture advertising network, bringing the national digital street furniture reach to 15 cities with 1,012 digital 6-sheet screens UK-wide, including London and Reading.
In addition to the defibrillator, the new phone kiosks will include a range of public services including an accessible payphone with free calls to landlines, Wi-Fi and USB charging stations, and a 36″, interactive touch screen with wayfinding and council information – all funded by advertising.
JCDecaux UK will further expand its digital street furniture into Manchester in 2021, with the roll-out of 17 digital phone kiosks as well as 86 double-sided Community Information Panels (CIPs) delivering 172 digital screens in the city centre.
