Twice elected best amusement park in the world, the Puy du Fou has become a reference in the entertainment sector. Offering awe-inspiring shows covering centuries of history, the park registers more than 2.3 million visitors per year. To accompany a growing number of visitors, the Puy du Fou decided to digitalize its site in order to welcome, inform and guide its visitors.
Mathias Jauffrit, IT Manager, Puy du Fou told us “Digital signage is today a key element in the optimization of our visitors itinerary. All of our screens are dedicated to organize the day of our visitors and their movements around the park”.
The digital signage screens, spread over the 150 hectares of the park, optimise the visitor experience. This is particularly the case at the performance venues, where the screens broadcast the status of the performances in real time. So, when a visitor wishes to attend a show, at a glance a person can check the status (show in progress, sold out, upcoming performances, etc).
For its take-away food, the Puy du Fou has set up digital menus. Thanks to Media4Display, the content of the menus is updated according to the time of day or the weather. The park also has seated restaurants, for which the display varies according to the time of day and the number of people in the restaurants.
The area of Puy du Fou entirely dedicated to corporate events, the Molière Theater (see below) is also equipped with digital signage screens. These have been placed in the reception hall and in the corridors in order to direct visitors to the desired room. The display screens are also remotely managed by the Molière Theatre team, and can thus be customized according to the companies’ requests.
