adidas’s new Stan Smith sustainable sneakers have been brought to life with a green oasis bus shelter from JCDecaux Australia.
JCDecaux Head of Creative Solutions, Ashley Taylor told us “The adidas Stan Smith bus shelter takeover is immersive and high impact to educate commuters on the sustainability of the iconic shoe as they wait for their ride. It is just one more example of the boundless creative opportunities in Out-of-Home and we’ve enjoyed working with the adidas team to bring this leafy idea to life.”
The shelter features an abundance of live plants cascading from the top of the shelter and underneath the shelter seat, with the panels painted green to represent the iconic colour of the new Stan Smith shoes, now more sustainable than ever.
The bus shelter was located at Westfield Bondi Junction, the retail precinct’s popular epicentre with high pedestrian and commuter traffic. The adidas campaign also featured across special build street furniture and digital large format sites across Sydney to provide impact, scale and mass awareness for the brand.
The new sustainable Stan Smith sneakers utilise 17 plastic bottles in each pair, without compromising their iconic look. The classic look has been updated with the addition of planet earth inspired embroidery throughout.
The campaign featured on the Bondi Junction bus shelter from April 6, 2021.
The media agency for this campaign was Mediacom, and the creative agency, iD Collective.
