The organisers of #ISE2022 which should take place at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía February 1-4, 2022 have said that, we quote “exhibitors are signing up in significant numbers to take part”.
Mike Blackman, Managing Director, Integrated Systems Events said “It is very heartening to see that globally, events and exhibitions are returning to strength. We are delighted that we already have 700+ exhibitors confirming their presence at ISE 2022 and we expect more to confirm in the coming days. With a vibrant thought leadership content programme and inspiring show floor, we are very much looking forward to getting back to business in Barcelona in February next year”.
In 2019, the last time the trade show happened in ‘normal times’ (read pre-#Covid19) the show, then in Amsterdam saw 1300 exhibitors. Mike will need a lot more vendors to sign up to get anywhere near that total (that won’t happen of course) so think about this for a second, ISE moved from the RAI at Amsterdam to Barcelona for more exhibit space, to allow current exhibitors to take more floor space and to attract new exhibitors (there was we are told a long waiting list) but albeit, a situation outside of their control will mean, moving to a new location with more space but half the number of exhibitors than before. The event, effectively could have stayed in Amsterdam with plenty of room to spare.
Bellwether brands such as Barco, Crestron, KNX, Kramer, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony have been confirmed. There was also news that the show floor has been redesigned and will now feature a brand-new Discovery Zone, highlighting 40 new companies exhibiting for the first time.
Interestingly, Crestron has exhibited at every single ISE since the show’s launch back in 2004 and is always a key booth to visit in the Multi-Technology Zone. Brad Hintze, Executive VP, Marketing of Crestron was quoted as saying “ISE continues to be a vital connection point for our industry across the residential and commercial spaces. We are eagerly anticipating this year’s show as a platform to showcase the many award-winning and category-defining solutions that have been released since the last time we were all together in person. Crestron is deeply committed to dealer success, and we look forward to the conversations and the opportunity to develop new business at ISE 2022.”
