The World Economic Forum which was scheduled to take place in Davos, Switzerland January 17-21, 2020 has been postponed. It is now planned for “early summer”.
WEF said the current pandemic conditions “make it extremely difficult to deliver a global in-person meeting”.
Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum said “The deferral of the annual meeting will not prevent progress through continued digital convening of leaders from business, government and civil society. Public-private cooperation has moved forward throughout the pandemic and that will continue apace.”
Last year, the annual WEF meeting was moved from Davos to Singapore due to #Covid19 but in the end, still did not happen.
