Australian Out of Home Full Year Results For 2021

The Australian Out of Home industry today announced full year net media revenue results including the category breakdowns for 2021.

The industry saw a total increase of 24 per cent on net media revenue in 2021.

As previously reported, net media revenue for 2021 increased to $812.7 million,
up from $655.2 million* for 2020, across the following categories:

Category figures 2021^^:

·     Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres) $360.4 M
·     Roadside Other (street furniture, bus/tram externals,
small format)
$190.8 M
·     Transport (including airports) $48 M
·     ^Retail, Lifestyle and Other $213.4 M

Category figures 2020*:

·     Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres) $273.6 M
·     Roadside Other (street furniture, bus/tram externals,
small format)
$154.2 M
·     Transport (including airports) $62.4 M
·     ^Retail, Lifestyle and Other $165 M

Digital Out of Home (DOOH) revenue accounts for 58.8 per cent of total net media revenue year-to-date, an increase over the recorded 55.2 per cent* for the same period last year.
