Diverse AI, a UK based dynamic membership organization dedicated to supporting and growing diversity in the field of Artificial Intelligence, is organising its launch event in London on June 21 at Curve Club, Westland Place in London.
The event promises an interactive evening where attendees will hear from the organisation’s founder, Toju Duke, on Diverse AI’s vision for an inclusive AI future, explore ways to actively participate in its mission, and get an opportunity to network with others in the AI community.
“AI is becoming ubiquitous and we firmly believe in its power to drive positive impact in society. However, the lack of diversity in AI and the broader tech sector is a well-known issue, which could lead to apparent biases in AI technologies that have negative effects on marginalised communities and the world at large – Diverse AI hopes to address this challenge by building a more diverse and equitable future through AI. We invite everyone to join our launch event and support our vision of an equitable AI future,” says Diverse AI’s founder Toju Duke who also leads Google’s Responsible AI programmes.
The London-based tech consultancy, Radically Digital, is sponsoring the event.
“We are thrilled to partner with Diverse AI for their London launch event. We believe that true progress can only be achieved when everyone has an equal chance to contribute and succeed. Diverse AI’s mission resonates strongly with us as we strive to break down barriers and bridge the gap in tech education and employment opportunities. Together, we aim to create a more inclusive and diverse tech ecosystem, where diverse perspectives and talents can thrive,” adds Bobby Idogho, CEO at Radically Digital.
The event is open to all and free to attend but advance registration is mandatory (click here to book spot).
