Lamar Transit Advertising has secured two long-term contracts for bus and street furniture advertising across fast-growing markets in British Columbia and Ontario.
The City of Kelowna has selected Lamar to handle its street furniture advertising concession for five years, complementing the existing Kelowna transit program already in place with Lamar and in Ontario, Durham Region Transit has retained Lamar to provide bus and shelter advertising in the urban centers of Toronto CMA and Oshawa CMA, also for five years.
“With these two new contracts, we are excited to continue our focused growth in transit and street furniture advertising across Canada,” said Andy Querin, Executive Sales Director, Lamar Transit Advertising. “The new Ontario inventory available in the growing market of the Durham Region and the expansion of our existing Kelowna offering with the addition of street furniture provide our clients with new and impactful ways to promote their advertising messages.”
Kelowna is the largest city in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley and features a diverse economy and thriving arts and culture. The area’s endless outdoor activities make the city a prime tourist destination and a desirable place to live. It is also home to 15,000 students attending UBC Okanagan and Okanagan College.
Situated at the east end of Greater Toronto, the Durham Region is one of Canada’s fastest-growing technology talent pipelines with more than 30 universities and colleges within driving distance. With major attractions and top employers, the region offers some of the most affordable housing in the area and is also regarded as the ‘Clean Energy Capital’ of Canada.
