Three Awards At IBC2009 For never.no
never.no won three awards at IBC2009 but the best of the three to our mind was the prominent Cable & Satellite International (CSI) Award for best playout or connectivity solution which went to its Community TV platform.
CSI Magazine’s annual awards recognise solutions that meet a clear need in the industry while demonstrating technology innovation and market leadership. Community TV is such a solution leveraging never.no’s signature interactive video technology to provide an end-to-end system for ingest, traffic, scheduling, automation, and transcoding for the Web.
Lars Lauritzsen told us “CSI is held in high regard for its assessment and analysis both of technology and trends, so it is particularly gratifying to us that they have chosen to recognize the capabilities and significance of Community TV”.
By dramatically reducing the costs of hardware, infrastructure, and labor compared with traditional broadcast methods, Community TV makes it possible for business, university, nonprofit, and other organizations to manage and broadcast their own television programming both on-air and online.
IBC2009 was particularly fruitful for never.no, a 10-year-old Norwegian technology company, which also earned ‘What Caught My Eye’ from IBC TV, and a STAR award from TV Technology Europe.
