Next-Gen Media, a leading youth-focused digital network, is boosting its leadership team with Mark Heather, most recently Director of Investment and Revenue Optimisation at Global, joining in the new role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
Reporting to Co-Founder and CEO Guy Thurlow, Mark will join Next-Gen Media on January 20 to help drive the company’s ambitious expansion plans. With its focus on connecting brands with young people, its fast-growing national network of full-motion screens already achieves more than 6m+ impressions per campaign in more than 65 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland.
Founded by Guy and Co-Founder and COO, Andy Francksen in 2020, the business has already formed strong relationships with advertiser and agency partners including BBC, Just Eat, Nike, Deliveroo, L’Oreal, Coca Cola, 3 Mobile, HSBC, The Metropolitan Police and KPMG.
Mark will bring extensive commercial and leadership experience to the Next-Gen team, building on over 25 years’ working in media and out-of-home. Most recently Mark was Director of Investment and Revenue Optimisation at Global, having also held roles as UK Trading Director, Sales Director and Commercial Director during his time at Viacom, CBS, Exterion Media and then Global. He also worked as a key part of the commercial bid team for some of the largest advertising contracts in the UK including the recent TFL pitch.
Mark will work with Guy and the commercial team to help Next-Gen’s advertiser, specialist and agency partners maximise the potential of the full-motion digital network. Guy will increase his focus on developing new opportunities for brands to connect with young people in the UK and internationally.
