With the global rise of AI and the urgent need for digital learning, AOPEN EMEA is advancing educational technology with a range of innovative solutions designed to support digital education initiatives across schools at all levels. AOPEN is proud to lead the industry with the launch of the AOPEN Chromebox OPS, an OPS digital signage player powered by the ChromeOS platform. This new solution was showcased at the Google booth during the BETT UK Education Show back in January 22 and followed by its official release for EMEA at #ISE2025 last week in Barcelona, Spain.

The AOPEN Chromebox OPS features the Intel® standard Open Pluggable Specification (OPS), offering seamless installation, maintenance, and upgrade capabilities. It integrates with Chrome Education Upgrade, enabling efficient management of OPS electronic whiteboard equipment and student Chromebooks. With access to the Google Play Store, teachers and students can easily download educational applications, enhancing resources and improving teaching effectiveness.

Built on ChromeOS, this solution provides robust security and a user-friendly platform, making it a cost-effective and easy-to-manage choice for digital learning environments. It also marks the world’s first OPS digital signage player powered by ChromeOS.

The AOPEN Chromebox OPS, equipped with ChromeOS, provides a seamless user experience for teachers, reducing technical barriers and facilitating engaging teaching scenarios. It supports educational tools like Google Classroom, allowing teachers to assign homework, collect student feedback, and grade assignments with ease. The cloud-based platform enables collaborative storage, giving students access to their apps and settings from any device, fostering interaction and teamwork. Additionally, users can download a wide variety of Android applications from the Google Play Store, further enhancing the educational experience.

Compliant with the Intel® OPS standard, the AOPEN Chromebox OPS ensures quick installation, easy maintenance, and scalable upgrades. Schools can deploy and manage devices efficiently through zero-touch enrollment or AOPEN’s White Glove Service. Remote management via the Chrome Remote Management Platform makes overseeing multiple devices straightforward, with the added benefit of robust security mechanisms, automatic updates, and regular security patches to safeguard sensitive data and teaching materials.

Designed to meet the high-definition video playback needs of businesses, the AOPEN Chromebox OPS supports 4K2K UHD video and is compatible with OPS commercial displays. Powered by the Intel RPL platform, it delivers smooth, reliable performance even under heavy workloads. With built-in external dual-band antennas supporting Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), the device ensures fast, stable connectivity. Furthermore, the Automatic Power Recovery (APAR) feature ensures the device automatically restarts after power outages, mitigating disruptions in critical environments.

In response to the growing demand for digital learning, AOPEN has partnered with governments around the world to advance educational technology. Their digital learning programs have been successfully implemented in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and many countries across Asia. These initiatives include a wide range of applications, from digital learning systems and facial recognition attendance systems to food safety and nutrition analysis in school cafeterias.
