Last week saw TouchTunes unveil a new corporate identity which if we understand correctly is that everythingh of theirs will come under the new umbrella name of TouchTunes Interactive Networks.
Charles Goldstuck, President and CEO, TouchTunes Interactive Networks told us “The new name builds on our core foundation of music and represents a logical next step in our growth and evolution,”
He added “The promise of TouchTunes Interactive Networks is to be able to build and develop a fully-integrated, social-networked community throughout our locations. We provide a 360-degree, in-venue, interactive experience to a young and influential demographic in bars and entertainment locations. Our great content keeps this substantial audience engaged longer and that creates an exciting and versatile advertising medium that generates awareness, reinforces brand messages and builds a measurable, experiential relationship with them.”
Touchtunes Interactive Networks is building and delivering a fully integrated, interactive entertainment and advertising experience across its three platforms:-
- Digital Jukeboxes – First introduced 12 years ago, TouchTunes digital jukeboxes re-invented how music is presented, paid for and played in bars and restaurants across the US and Canada. The network has become the largest of its kind in the nation, with a growing library of more than three million licensed music tracks. Customers play close to 2 million songs across the network, on average, every day. TouchTunes delivered more than 700 million songs in 2008 alone.
- Barfly TV – TouchTunes’ Barfly TV solution delivers a unique, on-location interactive television experience with a screen-within-a-screen that frames scheduled programming, showing custom advertising, bar promotions and offering social networking opportunities. Barfly is currently available at over 750 locations across the U.S. and is growing rapidly across top DMAs.
- PlayPorTT – A ground-breaking wireless, portable tabletop system, PlayPorTT plays both games and music directly from the digital jukebox, and adds to the bar or restaurant experience. PlayPorTT also delivers interactive promotional, advertising and marketing features, with new ways to conduct surveys, loyalty programs and sweepstakes. PlayPorTT is currently rolling out within some of the nation’s leading restaurant chains.
