Ballyhoo Blue Beacon Program

As part of their Blue Beacon Program, which reinvests in the communities they serve, Ballyhoo recently brought together over 20 employees for a hands-on volunteer day at Pelican Harbor Seabird Station (PHSS) in Miami, FL. The team worked to restore critical wildlife habitat, perform a shore cleanup, sanitize facilities, and even help feed injured seabirds.

As OOH advertising continues to evolve, brands and media companies are being challenged to show their commitment to their communities. Ballyhoo’s efforts prove that OOH media, especially in waterway transit, isn’t just about ad space, it’s about creating meaningful community engagement.

One of their highlights of the day was having the rare opportunity to release a rehabilitated laughing gull back into the wild, a powerful reminder for us of why this work matters.

This volunteer day is the start of a longer commitment with Pelican Harbor Seabird Station. In the coming weeks, Ballyhoo are launching a new advertising campaign from PHSS aimed at educating the boating community on safe boating practices to ensure they are protecting local marine wildlife.
