The Silver Screen
Last week Ocean Outdoor unveiled yet another London based digital offering (just as Grant Brantfoot told us he would a few weeks ago) – The Silver Screen is now the largest digital advertising screen to be seen on the A4/M4 motorway out of London.
Etihad Airways is currently taking advantage of the Silver Screen showcase to reach consumers travelling on one of the busiest commuter roads serving London. The unique site creates prominent cut-through for a new ad for Etihad Airways, celebrating last week’s award win of World’s Leading Airline at the 2009 World Travel Awards.
Ocean Outdoor’s CEO Damian Cox told us “The Silver Screen will provide advertisers with an unrivalled showcase employing the latest high resolution screen technology to truly allow their campaigns to shine. We are committed to evolving the outdoor market through high quality, unique locations like this digital tower that will allow brands to communicate with commuters through an impactful and dynamic platform.”
An estimated 4.3 million drivers use this stretch of the M4 every month, a significant proportion of these belonging to the key ABC1 category. The M4 is typically regarded as one of the most important routes in Europe as an advertising location.
This is the first in a series of landmark, high-spec LED screens that Ocean Outdoor will be unveiling across key locations in the capital before Christmas. These new displays will add to Ocean’s rapidly expanding portfolio of sites that includes some of the UK’s most unique outdoor advertising positions, including the IMAX at Waterloo, and Europe’s largest digital media wall, located near Liverpool Lime St station.
This premium digital outdoor advertising tower uses Lighthouse LED technology we believe AND the software running it is Scala.
The previous software incumbent, AMX / Inspired SIgnage has we believe now lost all of the Ocean Outdoor digital business.
