As we said back on November 7th, 2009 we fully expected ‘Sony To Buy Convergent Media‘ from Thomson and whilst the deal took a little bit longer than we thought (it would) it has finally been completed in the last 24 hours.

150 Convergent employees, headquartered in Alpharetta, GA, a town outside of Atlanta are now a subsidiary of Sony Electronics.

Convergent’s Alpharetta Network Operations Center and its world-wide network of field service affiliates serve about 20,000 sites and 300,000 viewing locations we understand.
