New York, N.Y.-based Digital Broadcasting Group, announced the opening of its Chicago office and the appointment of three people to newly-created sales account director positions: Charles Kohler (Central), Valerie Rokhlin, (East); and Lyndsey Ward (Southwest).

DBG is full-service video network specializing in the distribution of video inventory through the DBG Video Network, and the production of original online programming. Its content and advertising are seen, among other places, in Times Square.

“Our ability to continue to expand and create new positions during challenging times is a testament to DBG’s commitment in bringing the best and brightest onto our team,” says Chris Young, CEO and chairman of DBG.

Kohler will help fortify and grow DBG’s sales efforts in the Midwest from the newly-opened Chicago office, reporting to Jeff Tetrault, vice-president sales, Central. Kohler was recently a digital media senior account executive at Discovery Communications, where he worked with seventeen of their digital media brands, including Discovery.com, TLC.com, and AnimalPlanet.com, and was recognized in 2009 as Discovery Digital Media’s top revenue generating salesperson nationwide.

Rokhlin will play the same role in Eastern Region, reporting directly to Doug Bandes, vice-president and senior director of sales. She joins DBG from Fox Interactive Media where she managed key accounts such as Canon, Dell, and Bank of America in her position as account executive. At FIM, she also formed strong relationships with major agencies in New York, developing custom media plans. Rokhlin earlier managed sales accounts at The Huffington Post and Monster Worldwide.

Ward spent the past five years at ZekoMedia, where she recently was sales representative, managing advertising sales for multiple websites and magazines, including National Geographic Digital Media, Maxim Digital, and TVGuide.com, and successfully spearheading efforts in digital display advertising. Helping to grow DBG’s Southwestern sales efforts, she reports to A.J. Vernet, senior vice-president, West Coast sales.

In addition to New York and Chicago, DBG also has offices in Dallas and Los Angeles.
