We hear that Fluent Mobile, a Boston-based developer of mobile applications, has raised approximately $1.2 million in venture capital.

The company’s Fluent News application delivers articles onto mobile devices from such news sources as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Washington Post, CNN, FOX News, BBC, ESPN, and more.

Fluent Mobile offers it newest version of Fluent News free of charge for iPhone and iPod Touch users.
