Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
Our resident graphics artist has been working with our brand ambassador on a couple of new ideas for DailyDOOH – some of the bigger pieces of work include a major re-design of the site itself (but more of that later in the month).
We have been having a lot of fun this week working up (crazy) ideas for a new twitter logo and thought readers might like to have a look at some of our work in progress (we stress this is most definitely work in progress).
Some of our thoughts to date include: –
- Twitter icons tend to look much better as ‘buttons’ instead of squares (so one of the options has been to put it in a circle as above)
- An early mistake was to use a different typeface to our brand (one reason why two of the above examples will never make it out the door). The DailyDOOH typeface is Trebuchet MS for those interested.
- The best icons we have seen, seem to have a lot of ‘depth’ (again the thought to make it a more realistic ‘button’ shape
- We still need to figure out how to keep any new icon ‘on-brand’ (the DailyDOOH dark blue colour scheme perhaps) whilst still keeping an element of fun
As always happy to hear what others think.
