#ScreenMediaExpo – Easy Screen Mounting

Not all of the displays at Screenmedia Expo are screens, as we found out when we stopped in front of one vertical black screen, wondering why it was black on such an important opening morning.
It turns out that the 
screen is purposely black to draw attention to Lyon, France-based Erard’s various frames and stands for screens: floor designs, wall-mounted and, among other things, a new design allowing extra-easy mounting of wall screens. While nothing ecstatic to look at, the four screw simple operation makes mounting wall screens extra-easy, as demonstrated by Jérôme Obiot, managing director of Erard.
Obriot also showed us the company’s recently-launched DOOH Box, suitable for external, extreme conditions as well as internal. The company recently ran a successful pilot product for extreme cold in Switzerland, with an installation at 3,300 metres. While already being installed in arenas and other locations, next up for the DOOH Box is a pilot test in Dubai with to prove its use in extreme heat.
